Nature:Ruissallo

The weekend has arrived and that means that is time for a day excursion!

If you are a turist here in Turku I think you should go and visit Ruissalo.

Ruissalo is an Island that is close to the city centre of Turku. You just need to catch a bus (number8) and in few minutes you will be surrounded by the beautiful and wild nature of Finland.

I went in the morning  with a group of crazy trekking-lover friends and we walked all around the Island and all the way back to Turku city centre (20Km).
                                                                          We just stopped on the way in a cozy, wooden cottage for a nice coffe and  tipical cinammon pastries.

The way was long but it was 100% Worth!!

I think I will go back there often since is very close to the city.

Studying in Finland: the main differences with the Dutch system   I have been studing physiotherapy for the last 3 years in The Netherlands. I was so excited about the opportunity of coming to Finland for a semester as an Exchange due to the fact that Finland is famous all over the world for the high level of education and the quality of the health care system.   Studying in Finland has been very interesting. Since day one I noticed that the the classes, the methods students use in order to get their knowledge and prepare for exams is very different from what I am used to.
